Lundi 8 juin, Chantal Marion, Vice-Présidente de Montpellier Méditerranée Métropole déléguée au développement économique et attractivité, a dévoilé les lauréats du Pass French tech, programme national d'aide au développement économique. 5 entreprises montpelliéraines font maintenant partie des 48 "Tech champions" de France : Awox, Isotropix, Matooma, Pradéo et Scimob. Elles représentent l'excellence française à l'international.
Richard Taillet est professeur de physique à l'Université Savoie Mont Blanc et effectue sa recherche au LAPTh (Laboratoire d'Annecy-le-Vieux de Physique Théorique), dans le domaine de l'astrophysique des particules.
Pendant toute l'année, le Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Montpellier Méditerranée Métropole propose des concerts et des spectacles à Montpellier et dans les différentes communes du territoire. Découvertes d'artistes invités ou de jeunes talents révélés, toutes ses manifestations sont gratuites.
Vendredi 29 mai, au Corum, lors du 1er Forum Smart City Montpellier 2015, Philippe Saurel, Président de Montpellier Méditerranée Métropole, Maire de la Ville de Montpellier, est intervenu lors d'une table ronde sur le thème "Construire ensemble la Métropole de demain".
Rappelant que la notion de smart city était liée à la construction d'une ville durable, il a également évoqué "La ville intelligente" qui est celle où chaque citoyen a accès au(x) réseau(x).
Ce lundi 1er juin, Philippe Saurel, Président de Montpellier Méditerranée Métropole, Maire de la Ville de Montpellier, Cyril Meunier, Vice-président de Montpellier Méditerranée Métropole délégué à l'Environnement, Valérie Barthas-Orsal, Adjointe au Maire de Montpellier déléguée à la Propreté, Véronique Perez, Conseillère municipale déléguée aux relations avec la Chambre de commerce et André Deljarry, Président de la CCI de Montpellier, ont présenté les actions mises en place dans le cadre de la Semaine du développement durable.
Mardi 26 mai, Chantal Marion, Vice-Présidente de Montpellier Méditerranée Métropole a lancé l'opération "Big up for Startup". Pour la 1ère fois en France, 8 grands groupes, représentés par des directeurs nationaux, était à Montpellier pour rencontrer une centaine de startups et PME du numérique.
Pour la 4ème année consécutive, Montpellier Méditerranée Métropole et la commune de Beaulieu organisent la Fête de la Pierre. Dimanche 14 juin, de 9h30 à 18h, un programme riche en animation sera proposé au public : démonstrations par des tailleurs de pierre, expositions, table ronde, visites des carrières en calèche. Grande Tombola gratuite en partenariat avec le lycée des Métiers d'Art d'Uzès et les entreprises régionales de la pierre : tirage au sort à 12h et 17h. Journée entièrement gratuite et ouverte à tous.
À partir du mois de mai, le chantier de bouclage de la Ligne 4 de tramway prend un nouveau virage. Une fois les rails posés, ils doivent être scellés et soudés entre eux sur les 1,2 km du tronçon.
Après la réalisation des travaux de plateforme, la soudure des premiers rails en bas du boulevard Henri IV marque aujourd'hui le lancement d'une nouvelle étape.
À l’occasion de la 30ème Comédie du Livre, du 29 au 31 mai 2015, Montpellier Méditerranée Métropole se met à l’heure de la littérature ibérique. Le réseau des médiathèques de Montpellier Méditerranée Métropole accueillera le public sur son stand, de 9h à 19h. L'occasion d'échanger avec les bibliothécaires sur les services et collections proposés dans les 14 médiathèques, découvrir les sélections de livres dans un espace détente à la lecture, jouer à de nombreux jeux...
A l'occasion de sa première séance plénière, le Conseil d'Administration d'Aqua d'Oc – Régie des Eaux de Montpellier Méditerranée Métropole a élu son Président, René Revol, et son Vice-président, Thierry Ruf, parmi les membres de son assemblée. Comme le prévoient les statuts de la régie, sous le régime de l'autonomie financière et de la personnalité morale, le Président a désigné officiellement son représentant légal.
