Le changement des rythmes scolaires permet cette année aux classes de l’agglomération de Montpellier, de visiter l’Écolothèque le mercredi. Grande première ce mercredi 25 septembre où le groupe des Aigles (10-12 ans) a accueilli une classe de maternelle. Les enfants ont concocté un programme riche en découvertes pour les plus petits. Tout le monde est sorti enchanté et grandi de cet échange. Cette expérience sera renouvelée une douzaine de fois dans l’année.
Le Vice-président de Montpellier Agglomération délégué à l'Innovation a remis leur prix aux gagnants du 1er Hackathon organisé par la collectivité. Développeurs et designers avaient 48h pour créer des applications ayant pour thèmes l’environnement et la mobilité, à partir des données publiques de la collectivité. Plus de 10 000€ de prix étaient en jeu.

En effet, plutôt que de jeter des objets pouvant avoir une « seconde vie », les particuliers pourront donner mobilier, matériel informatique, vêtements, électroménager, bibelots, jouets, livres… en bon état et réutilisables.

Avec 35 000 visiteurs ce week-end le festival O'Tour de la Bulle, organisé par Montpellier Agglomération, a battu un nouveau record de fréquentation. Espace tout petits, bulles en direct, tatouages ephémères, mangas... Les nouveautés 2013, en plus des dédicaces des auteurs, jeu de piste, caricatures, maquillage et autres ateliers, ont permis au festival, cette année encore, de remporter un vif succès.
Comme chaque année depuis maintenant six ans, Montpellier Agglomération réunit le monde de la bande dessinée à Odysseum. O’Tour de la Bulle est devenu ainsi le rendez-vous incontournable des adeptes du 9ème art, petits ou grands. Plus de 40 auteurs seront à nouveau présents pour cette 6ème édition le week-end des 14 et 15 septembre.
Pour cette 6ème édition, Montpellier Agglomération en met plein la vue. Outre les dédicaces, caricaturistes, lectures, Crazy Ball (bulle géante et flottante) la collectivité innove encore et propose une ribambelle de nouveautés.
Après la piscine d’Agglomération Poséidon à Cournonterral en 2010, Montpellier Agglomération poursuit l’enrichissement de son réseau, avec la réalisation de sa 13e piscine, les Néréides, à Lattes. D’un coût total de 9,960 M€, ce nouvel équipement communautaire dessert à présent le sud du territoire. La collectivité offre ainsi au plus grand nombre, scolaires, associations et grand public, une infrastructure de qualité mêlant loisirs et apprentissage de la natation.
